Double Splice Tapes guarantee perfect and reliable joints . Joining is accomplished without any tools or fixtures, with precise pitch spacing, using convenient, pre-cut lengths of tape. SMD Double Splice Tape is supplied in short lengths, ready for use. After peeling off the upper tape, the raised dots of the clear plastic carrier engage with the sprocket holes and align the SMD tape ends perfectly with each other and the joining tape. The first adhesive tape then joins the SMD cover tape ends. The perforated center line of the carrier, which is later discarded, helps in folding the connector around the component tape providing further alignment and joining from the other side.

SMD Single Splice Tape
Splice tape can be used with either paper or plastic tape, punched or formed pockets, from 8-24mm in width. Splice clip are also available separately to be use in conjunction with single splice tape.
TAPE EXTENDERS: One of the biggest problems is the waste of components on a reel that don’t have a leader at the beginning of the SMD reel. The Tape Extenders are used for the partial reels that don’t have a leader. The Tape Extender adds an additional 500mm of tape as a leader. They feed into your SMT feeder as a piece of covertape. The Tape Extenders reduce the loss of components when you have no leader tape to work with.
